Despite growing up in a traditional church, I did not know about being “born again” until reading Hal Lindsey’s book “The Late Great Planet Earth” in Iceland in 1979. I prayed to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the end of this book. Unfortunately, I had no follow up or someone to disciple me and lived a carnal life for years.

My Christian mother gave me my first Bible in 1991 and ever since, I have not stopped reading God’s word on a daily basis. She also gave me an edition of“Our Daily Bread” and this launched me into a daily quiet time with the Lord that grew from 15 minutes each morning to two hours. The Lord has truly blessed me in these early morning hours and reveals “great and unsearchable things that I do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

I attended my first Bible study at Bob Jack’s home in 1996 and soon attended Valley Community Baptist Church.

"" In 1997, I attended a Promise Keeper’s assembly of over one million men in Washington DC (Stand in The Gap) and returned home a new man in Christ Jesus.

My wife and I were baptized at Valley Community Baptist Church in 1998 and later made a commitment to be members of that church.

Received one-on-one disciple training from Pastor Conrad Koch (Pastor of Adult Ministries, Valley Community Baptist Church) during a six-month period in 1999.

In 1999 the Lord called my family to join Valley Community’s church plant and we became deeply involved in what was to become Valley Brook Community Church.

I became a member of Valley Brook’s Worship Team in 2003.

On January 26, 2004, after a clear answer to a very specific prayer(Exodus 14:15 – “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward”), I gave my notice to the corporate world and stepped out in faith to pursue full-time ministry.
